Tak na Západe sa už tímy pre play off výrazne črtajú, ešte môže zabojovať Minnesota, možno Vancouver ale musí spraviť dáku sériu víťazstiev. Arizona je úplne mimo formy, tam to už nevidím moc reálne.
Naopak východ je okolo 8.miesta nahustený, tam nie je nič isté.

Teams can protect: 3 d 7f and 1g OR 8 skaters and 1g.

Prospects and 1st and 2nd year pros are exempt from the draft including AHL pros.

Teams are set to lose 1 player maximum if expanded by 1 team or 2 players max if
expanded by two teams.

Further more as Daren Dreger reports with all that information teams could lose a 4-5 D a 6-7 forward or a G.

Expansion decision is expected by the June draft with most teams assuming Vegas is the front runner.

Myslím, že áno. Keď si zoberieme, že až do éry J.Jágra to bolo výlučne kanadská záležitosť. Potom už prišli aj Švédi a Rusi. Od čias Bretta Hulla a Roenicka je aj prvým Američanom so 100 bodmi. Mali aj hráčov ako Tkachuk, Modano, D.Weight či LeClair, ktorí boli veľmi stabilní v bodovaní, ale vždy to bolo len niekde okolo 80-90 bodov čo na 1.miesto nestačilo.

No a je to v prdeli. Po dlhom čase finale SC kde nemám favorita, a ktoré asi nebudem aktivne sledovať.

Ohladom neho panuju nejasnosti, v najblizsich dnoch by malo byt jasnejsie, kedy bude, ake podmienky atd.

Ale celkovo aj od jedneho znamejsieho "insidera" (neviem, ci to je spravny vyraz), uz neviem, kto to presne bol, som cital, ze leto moze byt velmi blaznive.

Hej, napríklad, či sa budú medzi chránených rátať aj hráči s No-movement clause. Najpravdepodobnejšie potom je, že by mal byť pred Entry draftom 2017, pokiaľ viem... A práve preto by aj toto leto mohlo byť bláznivé, ako píšeš.

The following rules were approved for the 2017 Expansion Draft:

Protected Lists
* Clubs will have two options for players they wish to protect in the Expansion Draft:
a) Seven forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender
b) Eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender
* All players who have currently effective and continuing No Movement clauses at the time of the Expansion Draft (and who to decline to waive such clauses) must be protected (and will be counted toward their club's applicable protection limits).
* All first- and second-year professionals, as well as all unsigned draft choices, will be exempt from ion (and will not be counted toward their club's applicable protection limits).

Player Exposure Requirements
* All Clubs must meet the following minimum requirements regarding players exposed for ion in the Expansion Draft:
i) One defenseman who is a) under contract in 2017-18 and b) played in 40 or more NHL games the prior season OR played in 70 or more NHL games in the prior two seasons.
ii) Two forwards who are a) under contract in 2017-18 and b) played in 40 or more NHL games the prior season OR played in 70 or more NHL games in the prior two seasons.
iii) One goaltender who is under contract in 2017-18 or will be a restricted free agent at the expiration of his current contract immediately prior to 2017-18. If the club elects to make a restricted free agent goaltender available in order to meet this requirement, that goaltender must have received his qualifying offer prior to the submission of the club's protected list.
* Players with potential career-ending injuries who have missed more than the previous 60 consecutive games (or who otherwise have been confirmed to have a career-threatening injury) may not be used to satisfy a club's player exposure requirements, unless approval is received from the NHL. Such players also may be deemed exempt from ion by the League.

Regulations Relating to Expansion Franchise
* The Las Vegas franchise must one player from each presently existing club for a total of 30 players (not including additional players who may be acquired as the result of violations of the Expansion Draft rules).
* The Las Vegas franchise must the following number of players at each position: 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders.
* The Las Vegas franchise must a minimum of 20 players who are under contract for the 2017-18 season.
* The Las Vegas franchise must players with an aggregate Expansion Draft value that is between 60-100% of the prior season's upper limit for the salary cap.
* The Las Vegas franchise may not buy out any of the players ed in the Expansion Draft earlier than the summer following its first season.

The 30 NHL Clubs must submit their Protection List by 5:00 P.M. ET on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The Las Vegas team must submit their Expansion Draft Selections by 5:00 P.M. ET on June 20 and the announcement of their ions will be released on made on June 21.

2017 NHL Draft Lottery
* The Las Vegas franchise will be given the same odds in the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery as the team finishing with the third-fewest points during the 2016-17 regular season.
* The Las Vegas franchise's First Round ion in the 2017 NHL Draft will be determined in accordance with the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery and, as a result, the Las Vegas franchise will be guaranteed no lower than the sixth overall ion.
* The Las Vegas franchise then will third in each subsequent round of the 2017 NHL Draft (subject to trades and other potential player transactions).

Alignment
* The Las Vegas franchise will begin play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in 2017-18. There will be no other changes to the NHL's alignment.

It was a dark and stormy night. No really, it was a dark and stormy night. The story begins in Nitre, which is in Slovakia. It is actually quite a pretty place. But late in the winter of 1990-1991 it was dark and stormy as another major snowstorm threatened.

Our intrepid scout set out late in the day and drove right into the storm. He was a rookie and very junior scout. He did not get to hang out in fancy arenas and scout possible first rounders. His territory consisted of all the Czech and Slovak development leagues. With more experience he would have known just how dangerous the weather in the Nitre River Valley can be. Luckily the storm became undriveable just outside the small city of Topolcany. At that time there were about 28,000 people living in Topolcany, many of them working in tourism. The scout had no trouble finding lodging, a hefty meal, and some great local beer.

If only the now drunk scout had gone up to his room and slept it off. But he didn’t. Nope he went for a walk. That walk took him to an unheated arena. In that arena, oblivious to the weather outside a group of boys, under the watchful eyes of a team of coaches, we’re working on skill drills. The kids were the scout estimated between 14 and 16 years old. The drill they were doing when the scout walked in was skating backward through pylons. One kid who looked like he was about 10 just wasn’t getting it and the coaches were losing patience.

That was when one of the older kids stepped up and started showing his young teammate what the coach meant. The scout knew NHL level skating when he saw it and he claims as he watched the drill progress the hair on the back of his neck stood up. Because something magical happened or so the scout has always claimed. The little kid, who turned out to be fourteen, took to skating backwards like a fish takes to water. He and his mentor, so the story goes, were soon racing each other backward down the ice through ever more complicated patterns of pylons. Then they did it carrying the puck. Long story short, by the time the scout returned to his hotel room he was convinced he had seen not one but two future NHL stars that night. Unfortunately, he didn’t keep his excitement to himself. He drunk dialled his boss.

The boss wasn’t amused. He pointed out the chances of finding one NHL player in Topolcany had to be millions to one. Two, together on the ice in Topolcany had to be in the billions to one. This incident led to the scout changing organizations.

Mercifully the story didn’t follow him. Though it came roaring back to life during the 2000-2001 NHL season. That was when the 14 year old from Topolcany, the one who took so naturely to skating backwards, made the NHL All Rookie Team. As you might have guessed by this time the older boy was an established NHL star.

Yes, as preposterous as it sounds the scout was right that dark and stormy night. He had seen two NHL stars of the future on the same ice, in the same unheated arena in a place most of us have never heard of. Their names were Miro Satan and Lubmir Visnovsky.

To je ešte aktuálne? Však zostal v SKA, a aj pred tým to veľmi reálne podľa mňa nebolo...

za to sa pýtam, lebo niekedy na jar sa písalo, že jedná s nejakým klubom, a že v petrohrade to má rozhádané, a že podmienka súhlasu tridsiatich generálnych manažérov z nhl, aby sa mohol vrátiť, bola splnená.. a zrazu sa okolo neho nepíše vôbec nič..
